It is the choreography of Vaatu Kalajoki and Pauliina Tyni that they invited me to direct. We created new versions of the scenes that Pauliina and Vaatu had been working on. Today I brought some new music suggestions that we tried out. Django Reinhardt worked really well for a couple of scenes. We also tried Ink Spots and Audrey Hepburn\u00b4s song from Breakfast at Tiffany\u00b4s. I found Reinhardt and Hepburn while listening to J\u00f3nsi\u00b4s interview on NPR. (J\u00f3nsi is the lead singer of Sigur Ros.) It\u00b4s funny what the sources of ideas sometimes are.<\/p>\n<p>We have had a lot of fun in rehearsal. It is very demanding to direct a piece when all of the original ideas are there and you just need to figure out what is working and what is not, and especially how things should be changed. I feel that my brain is overloaded just now.
