As part of the Cirkus Syd Cinema we present the film: HYLKY of director Pirjo Yli-Maunula. HYLKY is Finnish for shipwreck, an immersive, site-specific and multidisciplinary production by Flow Productions poses a fundamental question to its audience: What carries us forward as individuals and communities? A shipwreck takes us to questions of survival, reconsideration of values and hope. A disaster forces us to make new choices and re-examine our values. What do we base our hope on? What is the better tomorrow that we dream of? Length/142 min. Language/Finnish, English subtitles
Practical info: This film will be screened online through a Vimeo link. Once you have purchased the ticket you will be sent a confirmation. Then, 30 min. before the screening-window starts (09:30am on the 20th of March) you will be sent the link to access the film. You then have til midnight the following day to watch it. If you registre after 09:30 am on the 20th of March you will recieve the link in the confirmation email. Do help us spread the word about this event, but we ask you to show solidarity and tell your friends to get their own tickets. We can’t stop you from sharing the link with others, but we ask you to respect the fact that the income from tickets go to the creators of this film who has been struggeling the past year.
