An avalanche of random and improvised juggling scenes, topped off with some humour.
Welcome to the wonderfulworld of ”The Way Things Go” (Der Laud der Dinge in German) where nothing is what it seems. In the cabinet of curiosites, the audience walks scene to scene, with a surprise around every corner. The man and his doppelgänger juggle blindly, with bickets on their heads. Will their spinning plates fall? Will the tower of glasses that they are stacking while wearing boxing gloves, stay upright? In a genre of its own, this sharp and edgy cabaret lets you play three-card Monte, watch a hypnotising ballet with buckets and discover that even knives can be used for juggling.
Guy Waerenburgh (juggler): On stage since 2004 both a visual act and as a juggler-performer for major contemporary juggling companies. In 2010, he signed a contract for two years and more than 700 performances for the Zaia show by Cirque du Soleil in Macao. His visual and creative juggling takes him around the world for events in Shanghai, Casablanca; Lausanne, Singapore, Macau, Deauville, Algiers, Hong Kong, Beirut…
Baptiste Bizien (juggler and stage manager): Inveterate acolyte, bleacher, topper, welcoming the public … He has the same stature as Guy and the same size, so that he can interpret the figure of the double.
Der Lauf is produced by Les Vélocimanes Associés and Cirque du Bout du Monde. The shows in Oulu are supported by:
