The clown listens to a C-cassette “House Parties 1-5”:
“House Parties is a program in five parts, in which we familiarize ourselves with the traditions and customs of Finnish family celebrations and with party preparations. The program series aims at helping the organizers of the parties, the ones who are celebrated, as well as the party guests in preparing for the occasion.”
Part 5: The Memorial Service is like a Finnish family celebration: it either makes you laugh or cry. Or both.
Clown Solo by Laura Rämä is a play about rituals, rules and about the want to be seen.
Duration of Solo performance: 40 min.
Performance language is Finnish but English synopsis is available.
